Never mind water, Big Phil's having a ball in Brussels and here are the pics to prove it

Ireland’s European Commissioner is having a great time if his Twitter account is to be believed.

WE’VE HEARD PHIL Hogan’s name mentioned a few times in the past week, mostly in disparaging terms as the government announced changes to the water charges regime.

His successor as Minister for Environment, Alan Kelly, even suggested that Big Phil could have done a better job of setting up Irish Water.

Not that Hogan will be particularly bothered because judging from his Twitter account he’s having a great time in Brussels as the EU’s Agriculture Commissioner.

He loves striking a slightly seductive pose for the camera at important meetings:

He loves hanging out with agriculture ministers (although he could do with fixing his shirt collar):

He loves gesticulating towards the ceiling with Norway’s agriculture minister:

He loves being on the phone and looking like he’s talking about something dead important… ”So that’s a chicken biryani with pilau rice and two nans…”

He loves gazing into politicians’ eyes as he receives them:

He loves meeting old friends:

And finally he loves delivering video messages that are a bit scary…
