Police hunt man after his mother and sister were found strangled and stabbed

Peter Fox may be in London.

POLICE IN LIVERPOOL have released pictures of a man they believe may have information on who killed his mother and sister.

Detectives in the Bootle area launched a murder inquiry after the bodies of the women were found on Friday. They were named as Bernadette Fox, 57, and her daughter, Sarah, 27.

Bernadette was asphyxiated, while Sarah was stabbed multiple times.

Detectives say that they want to speak to Peter Fox, the son and brother of the murdered women.

He is described as a white male, between 5ft 2in and 5ft 5in tall, slight build, with short dark hair (his hair had been shaved in the photograph attached and is no longer shaved) and brown eyes. He speaks with a Liverpool accent.

Members of the public are advised not to approach Mr Fox, but if anyone does see him they should call 999 or report the sighting to their nearest police station.

Detective Chief Inspector Dave Rooney, said: “The investigation into these deaths is at an early stage and although the motive is unclear at this time, although we believe the offender may be known to the victims.

“I would also ask the public to help us find Peter as we need to speak to him urgently in relation to the two murders.

“I would stress to the public that if they do see Peter Fox, they should not approach him.”
