Poll: What do you think about house prices rising?

Asking prices for homes in parts of Dublin have risen by up to 12 per cent over the past year – but is this a good thing?

ASKING PRICES FOR houses in parts of Dublin have risen by up to 12 per cent according to a report published today.

The boom isn’t back just yet: the report by property website Daft.ie found that prices continue to fall significantly in every other county in Ireland, dropping by an average of 8.9 per cent in the past year.

However it indicates that there is increased demand in parts of Dublin as supply drops and people buy into speculation that prices have reached a floor. The figures are backed up by the CSO which has found tiny increases in prices in recent months.

So today we’re asking: what do you think about house prices rising?
