Poll: Are you worried about this year's Budget?

This year’s adjustment will be closer to €2.5 billion than €3.1, Michael Noonan has confirmed. We ask, how concerned are you about the effects of next week’s Budget?

THE WAIT WILL be over by this time next week, and we’ll know all the details of Budget 2014.

It was confirmed yesterday that the blow would be softer than expected, and reports this morning suggest that payments like child benefit, old-age pension and core social welfare payments will be unchanged next year.

However, the Government will still be bringing in a raft of tax increases and spending cuts, and ministers are acknowledging that another tough Budget is a “big ask” for hard-pressed families.

Today we ask: How worried are you about next week’s Budget?

Poll Results:

Not particularly worried, but I'm curious to find out what's in it. (2407)
Quite concerned. I'm not sure how many more cuts and taxes I can take. (2367)
Not bothered at all. (802)
Very concerned. I'm having sleepless nights wondering about the effects. (553)
