Poll: Do you support the ESB workers?

Workers may strike over a gaping hole in their pension fund. But would you support them?

UNIONS REPRESENTING ESB workers will meet today to discuss what form industrial action will take.

The secretary of the group of unions Brendan Ogle has not ruled out strike action, as the workers protest a €1.6 billion hole in the company pension fund. The unions say that the company has breached a 2010 agreement to fix the deficit.

Strike action, of course, would lead to power outages.

We’re asking: Do you support the ESB workers?

Poll Results:

No (3477)
I don't know (2214)
Yes - But not if it leads to power outages (2049)
Yes (1491)
