A NEW PACKAGE of measures to stimulate activity in the construction sector are due to be announced today.

Taoiseach Enda Kenny said it will create jobs and help first-time buyers get on the property ladder.

Housing 

The Minister for Finance Michael Noonan has today dismissed claims that the new initiative will bring about another property bubble.

He said that Ireland is “a long way from a housing bubble”.
