Poll: Should Enda step down as Fine Gael leader?

His position is coming under scrutiny after a poor election for the party.

TAOISEACH ENDA KENNY ruled out stepping down as Fine Gael leader yesterday despite the party suffering heavy electoral losses across the country.

Questions have been raised about his position, however, after he conceded there was no chance of the outgoing coalition being returned to power.

Several Fine Gaels TDs have backed Kenny, rejecting talk of an imminent heave, but Minister Francis Fitzgerald last night declined to be drawn on his future.

Would you prefer to see someone else taking over the reins? Or would it make no difference either way?

This morning’s poll: Should Enda Kenny step down as Fine Gael leader?

Poll Results:

Yes (19901)
No (4310)
Unsure (1434)
