Poll: Will you be voting in the EU elections?

A poll in the UK showed only one in ten voters can name their MEP… Will you be casting a ballot on Friday week?

THE COUNTRY GOES to the polls for the European and local elections in less than two weeks’ time. But will you?

While turn-out in 2009 was up on the previous Brussels ballot, at just under 58 per cent it was still some way off the 70 per cent who cast their votes in the 2011 General Election.

Meanwhile, an opinion poll in the UK this weekend showed only one in ten voters there can name an MEP in their region: five times more can name a local MP.

We want to know: do the European elections matter to you? Will you be showing up?

Poll Results:

Yes. (3654)
No. (1172)
I haven't made up my mind. (470)
I don't really understand what goes on in Brussels. (352)
