There’s still a month to go but Christmas lights have been turned on in cities around the country and ads for Christmas shopping are everywhere. Have you started shopping yet?

TODAY IS BLACK Friday in America, traditionally the start of the Christmas shopping season on the other side of the Atlantic.

Large numbers of shoppers have been queuing up outside shops across the country in a bid to take advantage of bargains and to get a start on shopping for presents.

Over here, there’s still just over a month to go – but already Christmas lights have been turned on in cities around the country, Santa Clauses have begun visiting shopping centres, and ads for Christmas shopping are everywhere.
