Poll: How long on average do you last in your Lenten vows?

Will you make it to Palm Sunday?

IT’S ASH WEDNESDAY for Christians worldwide so millions of well-intentioned people will attempt to abstain from something for the next forty days.

If you’re going to do the Christian thing for the next six weeks, our friends in TheDailyEdge.ie have put together a list of 9 rules of Lent every Irish person knows.

But we’re a little more evil here in TheJournal.ie so we want to challenge your willpower. For the sake of argument let’s imagine you will give something up, or that you have at least tried in the past. If you don’t do Lent, no problem.

Today’s poll, How long on average do you last in your Lenten vows?

Poll Results:

The distance. Amen. (368)
2-3 days (346)
Over 3 weeks (268)
1-2 weeks (261)
5-6 hours (158)
