Poll: Should ministers be provided with extra security?

Ministers have faced tense protests in the last number of days – is it time to beef up security?

REPORTS THIS MORNING say security may be beefed up for government ministers in light of recent incidents during water protests.

At the weekend, Tánaiste Joan Burton was trapped in her car for more than two hours in Jobstown. The Taoiseach has since faced protests of his own with demonstrators attempting to obstruct his car.

Separately, Minister Alan Kelly’s constituency office also received a bomb threat yesterday.

We want to know: Should ministers be provided with extra security in light of recent protests?
