Poll: Do you know where your passport is?

120 passports are lost in Ireland every day. Might be time to check the sideboard…

THE DIRECTOR OF the Passport Office has revealed that around 120 Irish passports go missing in the country every day.

Speaking to the Foreign Affairs Committee, Joseph Nugent said that the office usually receives a box of them in the days after music festivals.

Nugent said that a “loss on that scale is critically important” and pointed to the issue of young people using the documents as ID on weekends as “the biggest problem”.

So. Do you know where your passport is?
