Poll: Who will you give your second preference vote to in the next general election?

Voting down the line.

IT’S BEEN REPORTED by a number of newspapers this morning that Fine Gael and Labour are to agree a formal general election transfer pact.

It means they’ll ask their own supporters to give their lower preference votes to the other party.

In regular polls here on TheJournal.ie, we ask you who you’re planning to voting for in the next general election. Today we’re asking who you’d give your second preference to.

If you’d give your first two preferences to the same party (or to two independents), ignore that, who’d be the first different option to get a vote from you?

Grouping all independents in one block, today’s question is, Who will you give your second preference vote to in the next general election?

Poll Results:

Independent (3694)
I won't vote beyond my number 1 (2297)
Sinn Féin (1819)
Labour (1570)
Social Democrats (1356)
Fianna Fáil (969)
Fine Gael (830)
Another party (535)
Renua (446)
