Man in critical condition after fall off Dublin cliff

The man sustained serious head injuries in the fall.

A MAN IS being treated in hospital this morning for severe head injuries after a fall from a cliff along the Dublin coast last night.

Emergency services were called to the scene at Portrane at around 9.45pm. A member of the public called to say a man had fallen.

The Irish Coast Guard and Dublin Fire Brigade both attended the scene and the injured man was winched into the coast guard helicopter. He was taken to Tallaght Hospital where his condition is believed to be critical.
