Angry backlash after Irish pub in England refuses people wearing poppies

A protest was held outside the pub the following evening.

AN IRISH BAR in England is being heavily criticised after it allegedly refused customers who were wearing poppies on Saturday night, the day before Remembrance Sunday.

Bar 32 in Luton posted a message on its official Facebook page stating:

“Ha ha if I offended people tonight (good) for wearing the flower of (terrorist) these young (EDL) lads/kids have to learn grow up and where else you going to get a drink after 2am there still a few of us left in Luton from the wee North good luck Mo Chara’s please share.”

The post has since been deleted.

One man who was told to leave Bar 32 told CitiBlog Luton that he would never return to the pub again:

It was disgusting behaviour from the owner, to be told to remove my poppy or leave, I happily walked out and I’ll never be going back into that dump.

Now people are vowing to boycott the pub as a result of its action.

Luton on Sunday also reported that police were called to the Irish pub after a protest was held outside the building on Sunday evening.

A detective confirmed that, “A police investigation is currently underway into both the dispute and the subsequent threats.”

In his moment of glory, he expresses his pride in being IRISH, his roots, and his language. WOW!!! God knows we have our problems but not being proud of your roots and who you are, demeans all of us.

Why on earth does the article reference the relentless self publicist. I will not afford her further publicity by naming her

No doubt all those who campaigned for a yes vote are delighted that his achievement will deflect attention from their embarrassing failure.

Mickey d instead of pontificating about Gaza should be speaking about the disgraceful non surgery on the children who are in constant agony with their backs. Only America has any influence on Israels actions. Typical of Mickey d last 12 months of his presidency silence for 3 weeks of the month and then pontificating about the world. He should adress matters which occur in Ireland. Not worth 5k a week no way.
