CONOR McGREGOR’S BID to make history is now just over two weeks away and the UFC has released an extended preview.
McGregor, the reigning featherweight champion, will aim to become the first fighter to hold two UFC belts at the same time when he faces lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos in the main event at UFC 196 in Las Vegas on Saturday, 5 March.
That box has yet to be ticked but there has already been talk of the Irish superstar making a remarkable move up to the 170lbs division to challenge for the welterweight title too.
In this UFC 196 preview, McGregor appears to hint at that very possibility: “I want to get that second belt and then campaign for something else.”
