Prospective house and rent increases for 2016

The Society of Chartered Surveyors of Ireland (SCSI) has released a report outlining how much property and rent prices are expected to rise in Ireland this year. The organisation forecasts that rents will rise by 5 to 7% while the price of three-bed semi-detached homes will rise by 4 to 8%.

Charges for recycling bins to be introduced

There will be a new ‘pay-by-weight’ bin charge legislation introduced this year which means that homeowners currently without wheelie bins can no longer leave out individual bags for collection.
