Daft.ie reports that rental prices have exceeded peak prices from Celtic Tiger era

Rents in Dublin and around the country have reached an all-time high with average monthly rent up 11.1% in Dublin, 18.2% in Cork and 13.9% in Galway, according to this week’s Daft.ie rental report.

South county Dublin will get a 5.4km road to form part of Cherrywood

Permission has been granted for a new multi-million euro road network of 5.4km to be constructed for the new Cherrywood project in south county Dublin.

  • Plans for the St Anne’s Park development have been scaled back by IMG Planning on behalf of Crekav Landbank Investments. The plan would have seen 381 houses built – but this has now been reduced by 25 to 356
  • There are plans for two developments of luxury apartments and houses in Raheny and Sutton in Dublin, according to a report from the Irish Times. Property developer Greg Gallagher has applied for permission  for the development.
  • CBRE Hotels is seeking offers for the super-pub Zanzibar of over €5 million. The bar has full planning permission to be developed into an 89-bedroom hotel.

The third ever Apple employee, Mike Markkula, has listed his California ranch for sale for $45 million (approximately €39.7 million). It’s called Rana Creek ranch, has 14,000 acres to its name and just one bedroom… But there’s a guest house with two bedrooms, so it’ll be grand.
