Here's some good news if you haven't paid your property tax yet

Revenue has extended the deadline after a large volume of calls in recent days.

REVENUE HAS ANNOUNCED that the deadline for filing your property tax return for 2015 has been extended until 4pm on Friday.

The extension follows a “very large volume of calls” to the local property tax helpline over the last two days with almost 8,000 filing notifications per hour.

This amounts to 200,000 payments being made over the last two days with some 80,000 calls to the helpline in that period.

Revenue is advising that its helpline – 1890 200 255 – will remain open from 8am to 8pm today and tomorrow and from 8am to 4pm on Friday.

More information on how to pay is available here on the Revenue website.
