Deadline for filing property tax return by paper extended by a week

Those filing their return by paper will now have until Thursday, 14 November to do so.

THE DEADLINE FOR submitting the local property tax return for next year with the Revenue has been extended until Thursday week, 14 November.

In a brief statement this morning, Revenue said that due to the volume of queries regarding payment methods from people who field their 2013 return on paper, the deadline has been extended from tomorrow to Thursday week.

The opening hours of the local property tax helpline – 1890 200 255 - have also been extended and will now be open from 8am to 8pm from today, Revenue says.

The online deadline for those who are filing their property tax return for next year, and need to indicate which method they intend to pay the tax, is 27 November.
