PSNI arrest man in connection with Philip Strickland murder

Strickland was shot dead on Wednesday evening in County Down.

A 44-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Philip Strickland, the PSNI has confirmed.

Detectives investigating the killing said they arrested the man in the Comber area of Down in the early hours of this morning.

He is currently in custody and helping police with their enquiries.

Strickland was found shot dead in a car in Comber on Wednesday.

The body of the 36-year-old was discovered in a vehicle left on the Ballydrain Road leading out of the small town.
