Man shot in the leg in a paramilitary-style attack in Belfast

The shooting happened in the Turf Lodge area of West Belfast yesterday evening.

DETECTIVES IN WEST Belfast are appealing for information following a paramilitary style shooting in the Turf Lodge area yesterday evening, 6 June.

Police received a report at approximately 20.10 that an 38-year-old man had been shot once in the right leg.

The man is being treated in hospital for injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

Police would ask anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area or who has any information to contact CID at Antrim Road on 0044 845 600 8000.

Information can also be passed anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
