Rail services interrupted as truck gets stuck under bridge

Irish Rail has said there will be some delays on the Cork to Midleton and Cork to Cobh services this afternoon as a result of the incident.

IRISH RAIL HAS said that services in Cork have resumed this afternoon following an incident which interrupted its schedule earlier.

A truck became stuck under the railway bridge on the Lower Glanmire Road in Cork City this morning. It only took about one hour to free the vehicle, during which time services from Cork to Midleton and Cobh were suspended.

Some delays are expected this afternoon.
