THE BABY GIRL delivered from her deceased mother after an attack in Gaza is said to have died.

Ian Pannell, the BBC journalist who originally reported on the baby’s birth, tweeted yesterday that she has since died:

While there was speculation online that the cause of the baby’s death was a power outage after Israeli forces attacked power plants, this has not been confirmed by the hospital.

Doctors had successfully delivered the premature baby after her mother (23) was fatally wounded during an Israeli airstrike.

The baby’s survival had been hailed as a miracle by Dr Fadi Al-Khrote, one of the medics who saved the infant.

The little girl’s chances of survival were rated at 50/50 by the doctors, according to the BBC.
