UPDATE: Second teen arrested following fatal Rialto stabbing

Two men, aged in their 20s, were stabbed after an altercation outside the Herberton Apartments in Dublin 8.

TWO MEN IN their teens have been arrested this afternoon as part of the continuing investigation into the fatal stabbing in Rialto in the early hours of this morning.

Earlier this afternoon Gardaí said an arrest took place in the Dublin area at 12:30pm, and that a male in his teens was being detained in Kevin Street Garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

They have now arrested a second man in his late teens who is also being detained at Kevin Street Garda station.

In an altercation in south Dublin which occurred at about 5:30am this morning, two men, both in their 20s, received stab wounds.

The incident happened outside the Herberton Apartments on St Anthony’s Road in Rialto, Dublin 8.

The two men were rushed to St James’s Hospital, where one of the pair later was later pronounced dead.

The second man is in a serious but stable condition.
