Pic: Richard Branson goes green for St Patrick’s Day

The Virgin founder had dyed his beard green for the big day…

NOT CONTENT WITH ensuring every building from Manchester Town Hall to the pyramids of Egypt goes green for St Patrick’s Day, Tourism Ireland has managed to convince entrepreneur Richard Branson to ‘go green’.

“The whole world is going green for St Patrick’s Day and when I was asked what I would turn green for the day – it just had to be the beard!” the Virgin founder said in a statement issued along with this frightening picture of him on Necker Island with family friends:

In total around 70 landmark buildings and iconic sites around the world have already gone or will go green this weekend to celebrate St Patrick’s Day.

These include Sydney Opera House, the London Eye, Selfridges in London, Niagara Falls, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, Burj al Arab in Dubai and the Prince’s Palace of Monaco.
