Man dies in overnight crash in south Dublin

The crash happened at about 1.45am when the car the man was driving collided with a pole on Churchtown Road.

A MAN IN his 40s died in a single vehicle collision in Dublin overnight.

The crash happened at about 1.45am when the car the man was driving collided with a pole on Churchtown Road Lower.

The man was seriously injured in the crash and was taken to St. Vincent’s Hospital but was later pronounced dead.

The road was closed for a time to facilitate garda investigators but has since reopened.

Gardaí at Dundrum are appealing for witnesses to the incident to contact them.
