Two men killed overnight after car hits a ditch

The car was only discovered at noon today.

TWO MEN IN their early 20s have died after the car they were travelling in hit a ditch near Glenflesk village in Co Kerry overnight.

According to Gardaí, the car lay hidden in the ditch on the N22, until a passing motorist made the discovery at around noon today.

Both men have been taken to Kerry General Hospital in Tralee for post mortem examinations.

The road has been closed for a forensic examination, and local diversions are in place.

Last night’s fatalities bring to 159 the number of people killed on Irish roads so far this year.
