Two-year-old boy seriously injured in Roscommon car crash

Gardaí are appealing for witness to the two-car collision.

GARDAÍ ARE APPEALING for witnesses to a crash in Roscommon this morning in which a two-year-old boy was seriously injured.

The collision happened between two cars on the N5 at Currinah, Ballaghderreen at about 9am.

Two adults and three children were injured in the crash and were taken to Mayo General Hospital.

One of the children, a two-year-old boy who sustained serious injuries, has since been transferred to Temple St. Hospital. The injuries of the others involved are described as minor.

The scene has been examined by investigators but gardaí want anyone who may have seen the incident to contact them.
