Two men in court over Dublin night safe robbery

The men were arrested after the robbery outside a bank in Tallaght on Tuesday night.

TWO MEN IN their 20s will appear in court this morning charged in connection with a robbery at a night safe in Dublin.

The men were arrested after the robbery outside a bank in Tallaght just before midnight on Tuesday night.

The victim of the robbery was approaching a bank on Main Street in Tallaght to lodge cheques and documents when he was approached by two men. One was armed with what appeared to be a firearm and the other had a hammer. The man was forced to hand over the document bag.

Gardaí arrested two men in the area shortly afterwards.

The two men will appear at Tallaght District Court this morning charged in connection with the robbery.
