Armed raider escapes with cash from security van at Dublin shopping centre

The raider made off with an undisclosed sum of cash from the van at the Rathfarnham Shopping centre.

AN ARMED RAIDER has escaped with an undisclosed sum of cash from a security van at a Dublin shopping centre this afternoon.

Gardaí say that the lone raider approached the G4S security van in the car park of Rathfarnham Shopping Centre on Butterfield Avenue at around 12.45pm.

He escaped with the cash box from the van. The exact amount of money taken has not been disclosed.

No-one was injured in the incident.
