Teenager killed in Roscommon road collision

Another three men were injured in the crash.

GARDAÍ ARE APPEALING for witnesses to a road collision that killed a teenager.

The collision occurred around 8pm last night, seeing a 19-year-old man fatally injured when the car he was a passenger in struck a wall on the R368 near Four Mile House in Roscommon. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

His body was removed to mortuary at Roscommon Hospital. Three other men, all understood to be in their 20s, who were also travelling in the car at the time were taken from the scene by ambulance to Hospitals in Galway, Sligo and Mullingar.

The extent of their injuries is not yet known.
