Rosie O'Donnell's daughter has been found safe

She is currently in police custody, said the the TV host.

THE DAUGHTER OF Rosie O’Donnell has been found safe.

Yesterday the actress and TV host tweeted for help in tracing her daughter, who she said she had not seen in a week.

Overnight, she tweeted that her daughter had been found and is now in police custody.

A message on her website asking for help says Chelsea “stopped taking her medicine and is in need of medical attention”.

Fox News reports that the teenager was found in a residence in New Jersey.

The police said that when officers went to the residence, the person answering the door initially did not want to reveal Chelsea’s presence. Police responded that they would not leave until she came out. Chelsea then appeared and left with police without incident.

The 17-year-old is the adopted daughter of O’Donnell and her ex-partner Kelli Carpenter.
