Irish man dies in Western Australia

The Department of Foreign Affairs is providing consular assistance to the family of Ryan Doyle, who died in an accident.

A CO DOWN man has died in an accident in Australia.

The Department of Foreign Affairs confirmed that Ryan Doyle passed away in Western Australia. It said it is providing consular assistance to his family.

BBC is reporting that Ryan (25) died in a road accident and that a man is due to appear before Perth Magistrates Court on 18 December in connection with his death.

Ryan is from the Leitrim area of Co Down. The local parish priest told UTV news that the family are in shock at the news of his tragic death.
