Firefighters battle underground blaze in north Dublin

FIVE UNITS OF Dublin Fire Brigade are dealing with an underground fire in a suburb on the north of the city.

The fire is understood to be at a building site near a block of apartments on Shanowen Road in Santry.

Dublin Fire Brigade have said that no injuries have been reported as a result of the fire.

Pictures of the scene show the fire brigade units at the scene obscured by heavy smoke.
