Garda appeal after man critically injured in scrambler incident while sunbathing in park

Gardai appeal for information following an incident in Darndale Park on Saturday

GARDAÍ ARE APPEALING to the public for information regarding an incident involving a scrambler motorcycle in Coolock at the weekend.

At Darndale Park in Coolock at approximately 2pm on Saturday last, a man and woman were sunbathing when a scrambler bike drove over a brow of a hill and impacted with the couple.

The impact resulted in serious head injuries for the man (36) and he currently remains in a critical condition at Beaumont Hospital.

A 16-year-old man is now assisting gardaí with their enquiries.

Gardaí are appealing to any person who may have witnessed this incident or who might have any information relating to the accident to contact Coolock Garda Station.
