Poll: Would you support a seagull cull?

Or should the protected birds be left alone?

A SENATOR HAS called for a cull of seagulls, warning that they are now posing a danger to society.

Fianna Fáil’s Denis O’Donovan is looking for a debate on the issue to be held later this year.

While we’re all too familiar with the antics of herring gulls, they are a protected species as a result of efforts to halt a decline in seabird numbers.

This means it is illegal – under most circumstances – to harm them or damage their nests.

We want to know about your feelings on this issue: Would you support a seagull cull?

Poll Results:

Yes (5624)
No (3923)
I don't know (845)
