And the best-value car in Europe is...

SEAT’s first ever SUV wins prestigious AUTOBEST 2017 award.

THE SEAT ATECA represents the best value car for European buyers as decided by a jury of 31 Autobest members.

It won the award by beating out four other nominees – the new Citroen C3, Kia Niro, new Peugeot 3008 and Toyota C-HR.

Points were awarded for price, service network, spare parts distribution and versatility as well as design and new technologies.

The Ateca range’s versatility was one of the factors most highly rated by the Autobest awards panel.

That versatility takes into account the trim levels and engine line-up. In Ireland, the Ateca is available in three trim levels; S, SE and Xcellence. It is offered with the following engines: 115hp 1.0TSI Ecomotive, 150hp 1.4TSI, 115hp 1.6TDI Ecomotive, 150hp 2.0TDI 4Drive and 190hp 2.0TDI DSG 4Drive. It comes with a six-speed manual transmission with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive and a seven-speed DSG automatic with four-wheel drive.

Neil Dalton, Head of Marketing and Product at SEAT Ireland said:

The Ateca is performing extremely well in the Irish market, so it’s wonderful to see it recognised to such international acclaim. Fully deserving of the award, the Ateca delivers a spectacular driving experience. Appealing finance rates, high quality design, innovative technology and excellent performance make the Ateca an extremely attractive proposition.

Irish Autobest jury member Dave Humphreys said:

Despite the high level of competition between the five finalists, the strong value for money and excellent driving dynamics gave the SEAT Ateca the edge over its rivals.

In Ireland, the Ateca range starts from €24,750 and comes with a generous amount of equipment and features as standard.
