Boy, 13, suspected of two sexual assaults on young women

Both victims were women in their 20s.

POLICE IN LONDON have arrested a 13-year-old boy in connection with two linked sexual assaults.

The boy was arrested in the Kilburn area of London yesterday and remains in custody.

Police say they are appealing for witnesses to the two incidents.

The first assault took place on Kilburn Park Road, Westminster at around 10.30pm on Monday, 1 June.

The victim, a woman in her 20s, was followed by the suspect along Kilburn Park Road.

He tried to engage her in conversation before touching her inappropriately. The victim tried to avoid him but he attempted to touch her again. She managed to run into a pub, where staff assisted her and police were called.

The second incident took place on Wednesday, 17 June.

The victim, also a woman in her 20s, was followed as she walked home from work.

She had taken the bus before getting off and walking through a park where she first noticed the suspect.

She continued to walk through an alleyway, when the suspect attempted to engage her in conversation and then touched her inappropriately. He pressed himself against her, to which she responded by pushing him away and calling out for help.

The suspect ran off in the direction of the route in which they had walked.

The victim then made her way home and contacted police.
