CRICKET STAR SHANE Warne has been bitten in the head by an anaconda.

The 46-year-old was competing in the reality show ‘I’m A Celebrity…’ on Australia’s Channel Ten when it happened.

He was shown ducking his head into boxes containing rats and snakes as part of the programme’s ‘Bush Tucker Trial’.

Just after a warning from one of the hosts that the snakes may see him as food as “you were just in with those rats for a long period of time” Warne was struck on the head by the non-venomous snake.

According to Australian media reports he was treated with antiseptic and medics are now monitoring Warne for any signs of infection.

Meanwhile, who-ever has been left in charge of his Twitter account has been paying tribute to Warne for “doing great work”.
