Teenager shot in Bray but not seriously injured

The man was shot in the foot and has been taken to hospital.

SHOTS WERE FIRED at a young man in Bray, County Wicklow tonight. Gardaí confirmed that the young man, believed to be in his teens, was shot in the foot and was taken to St. Vincent’s Hospital.

The shots were fired about an hour ago in the Fassaroe area of Bray.

The Garda Air Support Unit are currently searching the Bray area, but no arrests have been made in relation to the shooting.

It is not clear if the injured man is known to the gardaí. The scene is being preserved for technical examination.
