Man dead after being shot a number of times in west Dublin

Emergency services have left the scene.

A MAN HAS been shot dead in west Dublin this evening.

The incident happened at around 9.40pm in the Wheatfields Avenue area of Ronanstown.

Emergency services have left the scene and a man (36) died from his injuries.

A garda spokesman said: “Gardaí and emergency services are at the scene of a shooting incident at Wheatfields Avenue, Clondalkin in Dublin.

“The incident was reported to gardaí at 9.40pm.  A man in his 30s was seriously injured in the shooting incident. The area is currently sealed off and a forensic examination of the area will take place.”
