Shooting at Dublin pub leaves two men injured

The incident occurred after 10pm last night.

A SHOOTING TOOK place in a pub in the city-centre of the capital last night.

The incident occurred at Oil Can Harry’s on Lower Mount Street in Dublin.

Gardaí said that two men were injured in the shooting, which happened after 10pm last night in the pub.

They said that it is believed two men entered the premises and a number of shots were discharged at a group of people who were in the pub.

Two men, aged 19 and 20, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to St Vincent’s Hospital.

The gunman left the scene in a dark-coloured car in the direction of Dublin 4.

The scene has been preserved for technical examination and no arrests have been made as of yet.

Locals tweeted about the incident last night:

One eyewitness said on Twitter that there were “people crying on the streets” after the shooting.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses, particularly those who may have been inside or in the vicinity of the pub/Mount Street Lower, or anyone with information regarding the car involved to contact them at Pearse Street Garda station 01 6669000, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666111 or any Garda Station.
