Gardaí investigating early morning shooting in Co Meath

A dark red or maroon-coloured car was seen driving away from the scene.

GARDAÍ IN CO Meath are investigating a shooting incident that occurred at about 4.15am today.

Two shots were discharged at a house at The Green, Dunboyne Castle. There were no injuries during the incident.

Damage was caused to a front room window and door.

A dark red or maroon-coloured car was seen driving away from the scene at the time of the shooting.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information or who might have seen any suspicious activity in the area around Dunboyne Castle housing estate in the early hours of this morning to contact Ashbourne garda station on 01-8010600, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800-666-111 or any garda station.
