Man shot in foot after being ordered to lie down by masked gang

The man, aged in his 20s, is being treated in hospital.

A MAN’S BEEN taken to hospital after being shot in the foot in west Belfast last night.

The attack happened shortly after 10pm. The man’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

According to the PSNI’s Detective Sergeant Michael Hawthorne:

“At around 10.10pm a man in his 20s was approached by four masked men in an entryway who ordered him to lie down prior to shooting him through the foot.

He was later taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.

The PSNI is appealing to anyone with information to get in contact.
