Crime boss Andy Connors killed in late night Dublin shooting

The man in his 40s was shot multiple times in the upper body.

GARDAÍ ARE INVESTIGATING the fatal shooting of a man in Saggart, Co Dublin, last night.

Gardaí said they received a call shortly after 11pm last night reporting a shooting at Boherboy. When they arrived, they found a man in his 40s who had been shot multiple times in the upper body.

He was removed to Tallaght Hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly before midnight. A post mortem was carried out on the body today and he has been named locally as Andy Connors.

The scene at Boherboy has been sealed off for a forensic examination which is taking place today.

Gardaí are asking anyone with information about their investigation to contact Clondalkin Garda Station on 01 666 7600.

Meanwhile, gardaí are investigating a related incident in Tallaght, where a man received serious injuries early this morning.

A source told TheJournal.ie the man was “severely beaten and dumped” in the street at Belgard Road at 7.30am.

It is believed the incident is connected to the shooting of Connors last night.

The man was taken to Tallaght Hospital by the National Ambulance Service.
