Shots fired in Cork city estate

The incident happened when two men were walking down the road.

GARDAÍ IN CORK are investigating a shooting that occurred early this morning.

They said that a firearm was discharged on St Michael’s Drive in Blackrock at 1.50am.

While two men were walking down the road, a silver Honda Civic stopped on St Michael’s drive and discharged a firearm at a parked car.

No one was injured in the incident.

The car was later recovered burnt out at the marina.

Both scenes have been preserved and the matter is under investigation.
