Two men die in overnight house fire in Sligo

Emergency services were called to the scene at 5am this morning.

TWO MEN HAVE died following a house fire in Sligo town early this morning.

Emergency services were called to the scene of the fire on Market Street at about 5am this morning.

The two men, one aged in his 60s and another in his 30s, were taken from the house and rushed to Sligo University Hospital where they were pronounced dead.

Gardaí say that at present there is nothing to suggest anything suspicious about the fire.
