Snow-ice warning issued for tonight

Expect a very cold night with some frost and icy patches.

A SNOW-ICE WARNING has been issued for Leinster, Cavan, Monaghan and Donegal.

Met Éireann is warning of sleet and snow showers, with the possibly of between 1 and 3 cm.

It added that parts of Ulster and Leinster are most at risk later tonight.

The status yellow warning will come into place just after midnight and remain until 10am tomorrow morning.
