Gardaí arrest two youths over St Patrick’s Day assault seen in viral video

The 16 and 17-year-old were arrested earlier this evening in Dublin 2.

GARDAÍ HAVE ARRESTED two youths following an assault on a 30-year-old man on St Patrick’s Day.

The attack took place on Aston Quay in Dublin city centre.

The arrests are connected to an attack on a man seen in a viral video posted online in recent days.

The video was shared widely across social media, though gardaí asked it not be published by media.

Gardaí had identified individuals seen in the video.

The 16 and 17-year-olds, arrested earlier this evening in Dublin 2, are being detained at Pearse Street Garda Station.
